TXIS employs qualified interpreters that
have undergone rigorous training and are certified by
the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc. (RID), and/or by the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services-DARS/BEI.
The national examination tests their knowledge of culture, ethics, and interpreting skills. The tests from RID and DARS/BEI
are both very rigorous examinations which guarantee a minimum standard or entry level of competency. TXIS is also HUB certified.
